It is over. Three more points from the three final league games is all it will (mathematically) take and they will hope and expect to collect them away to West Bromwich Albion this Friday.
They can bag it against the Baggies and it will be a richly deserved title, a fourth in 12 years and only a fifth in the club’s 112-year history.
Before the victory parade came the procession and a carnival atmosphere with John Terry even afforded a run-out, on as a late substitute for the superb David Luiz, for his 715th appearance, and to a standing ovation in what is his last season.
Chelsea were utterly dominant. The score-line could have been multiplied as Middlesbrough provided no barrier. They were swept aside by the excellence of Antonio Conte’s side, orchestrated by the outstanding Cesc Fabregas, and, with it, their relegation back to the Championship, after just one season in the top-flight, was inevitably and sadly confirmed in front of their raucously defiant fans.

Chelsea come into this game on the back of winning 5 consecutive games while Middlesrbough has only won one in that period however they did got respectful draws against Arsenal and Manchester City. Manager Aitor Karanka will be hoping to celebrate this three years at the club with a positive result against a dangerous looking Chelsea side. But this Chelsea team is a different animal all together and with both Costa and Hazard fit to start, London outfit will go into the game favourites to take all three points.
Team News & Lineups: Middlesrbough will be without Ayala and Friend for Chelsea fixture and Karanka is likely to start with Negredo upfront on his own while Stuard Downing, Stuani and Traore to play in attacking roles ahead of De Roon and Foreshaw.
Chelsea on the other hand will be lineup up with their successful 3-4-3 system where Costa, Pedro and Hazard to start upfront while Mosses, Matic, Kante and Alonso to start in 4 man midfield. Cahill, Azpilicueta and David Luis to start in three man defense. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Sunday evening.
